The Role
As Sales and Marketing Manager, you will:
- Report to the Sports Centre Manager and work as part of a collaborative leadership team, playing a key role in the day to day running of the Centre
- Lead the front-of-house team, including a Head Receptionist, Receptionists, and a Marketing Co-ordinator
- Develop and market the Centre’s timetable of events
- Create engaging content for the website and social media platforms
- Oversee marketing campaigns to support membership growth and community engagement
- Provide financial reports to help monitor sales performance and manage expenses
- Support income generation through memberships, pay-and-play activities, retail, and lettings
What we’re looking for:
- Educated to a good standard
- Proven experience in team leadership and marketing
- Strong organisational, communication, and customer service skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a busy environment
- Confidence in managing social media platforms and creating marketing content
- A calm, professional approach with sound judgement and initiative
Hours of work: An average of 40 hours a week, flexibility will be required to work evenings and weekends.
Duration:This is a temporary, maternity cover position, which will continue for up to 12 months.
Salary: ÂŁ38,896 per annum
The School and the Centre
Oundle and Laxton Junior Schools have long been associated with the very best of modern independent education, especially boarding. The Schools take seriously their responsibility to pupils so that they can emerge as decent, open-minded adults; ambitious about what they can go on to achieve and contribute. A team of around 800 staff, both academic and support, ensure an education of the highest standard is in place across the Schools with the efforts of the whole team focused on this fundamental aim.
As well as providing new and improved facilities for the School’s pupils, the new Sports Centre facility has been designed to allow increased access to local residents, sports clubs and Schools. After accommodating the educational and social demands of the pupils the School is eager to develop wider access to the Centre and encourages participation by local community in a range of Sports and Leisure activities organised and managed by the Centre’s staff.
Our State of the Art Sports Centre offers a wide range of classes, fitness facilities and activities on a commercial basis, as well as numerous courses, children’s holiday clubs and organised parties. Our facilities include a 50-metre swimming pool, an 8-court hall, a 70-station fitness suite, a dedicated dance studio and three further multipurpose studios.
