The Role We're looking for an experienced and ambitious Marketing Manager to lead strategy, ideation, and planning for a portfolio of clients (our "pod").

As Marketing Manager, you'll translate client briefs into annual, quarterly, and ad-hoc marketing strategies - collaborating closely with Media, Creative, Content, and Analytics Managers to bring bold ideas to life.

You'll also act as brand guardian for your clients, ensuring everything we deliver is aligned, consistent, and impactful.

This role is ideal for a strategic marketer who thrives on solving growth challenges, shaping brand direction, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver measurable results.

Key Responsibilities Marketing Strategy (50%)Develop comprehensive marketing strategies for pod clients based on annual, quarterly, or ad-hoc briefs.

Interrogate and challenge client briefs to extract key insights and opportunities.

Conduct research and analysis to identify consumer insights and growth opportunities.

Build audience segmentation and consumer-focused growth strategies.

Collaborate with Media, Creative, Content, and Analytics teams to ideate integrated activations.

Marketing Planning (40%)Create schematic plans to phase marketing initiatives and campaigns across the year.

Oversee budget allocation across channels to ensure consistency with strategic priorities.

Validate targeting and channel inclusion through research and data-driven methods.

Work with internal teams to ensure cohesive, effective execution.

Brand Management (5%)Act as the brand guardian for assigned clients.

Review customer experience (CX) and user experience (UX) across all brand touchpoints.

Proactively recommend opportunities for brand development and enhancement.

People, Team & Culture (5%)Mentor and support junior team members, including Marketing Executives.

Lead internal training sessions on marketing trends, techniques, and best practices.

Champion Ouma's culture and values across all client and internal interactions.

Key Skills & Experience Brilliant Marketing skillsets, through experience, academia and/or CIM membership.

Fundamental, foundational and modern Marketing academia and methods.

Ability to interrogate a brief and create unique brand and business insights.

Expert-eye Marketing research, audience work, insights and analysis.

Detailed, thorough and faultless Marketing plans, schematics and phasing.

Brand planning ideation and creativity of Marketing initiatives for growth.

Marketing and planning workshops facilitation and running.

Expert collaboration with colleagues to create broader, more successful ideas.

Budget controls and planning to create work within reason.

Strong understanding of Media, Content, Creative and Production opportunities, costs and processes, including CRM/Lifecycles, Ambassadors, PR etc.

Brand management, growth measurement, ownership.

Management of external stakeholders including Ouma Marketing expert network.
