Oui Madame is an intimate, modern European restaurant in Islington, built around exceptional hospitality, seasonal food, and a genuine neighbourhood feel. Since opening, we have established ourselves as one of North London's highest-rated independent restaurants, achieving 400 Google reviews with an outstanding reputation for food, service and atmosphere within our first 9 months of trading.

We are now looking for an Assistant Manager to join our growing team and help maintain the standards and hospitality that have made Oui Madame such a success.

The Role

This is a hands-on, floor-based position focused on delivering outstanding guest experiences. You will work closely with senior management to lead service, support the team, and ensure every guest leaves having had an exceptional evening.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the floor during service with confidence and professionalism
  • Delivering warm, attentive and personalised hospitality
  • Managing reservations, table flow and guest experience
  • Taking orders, guiding guests and driving spend per head
  • Supporting and developing junior front of house team members
  • Maintaining high standards of presentation, cleanliness and organisation
  • Assisting with opening and closing procedures
  • Working closely with management to continuously improve standards and service delivery

What We're Looking For

We're seeking someone with genuine passion for hospitality and the confidence to take ownership of service. You should have:

  • Previous experience in a quality restaurant environment (5 years minimum)
  • Experience at Supervisor, Head Waiter or Assistant Manager level
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confidence in leading a service and supporting a team
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • A calm, positive approach under pressure
  • A proactive mindset and willingness to lead by example
  • Good knowledge of food, wine and guest care
