Job overview
Wallingford Midwifery Led Unit is part of the Wallingford community hospital. It has a wonderful, homely atmosphere with a birthing pool room for women choosing to birth in the community. There is a small yet dedicated team of midwives and support workers who provide care for birthing people and their families in the surrounding area. Wallingford is a lovely town in South Oxfordshire, ideal for families and ongoing transport links to London and the South coast.
Across Oxfordshire, we have four freestanding birth centres located in Banbury, Chipping Norton, Wantage, and Wallingford alongside a homebirth service. Our community birth rate is above the current national average at 5%.
