We have transformed a three-story Victorian building into a dining sanctuary where the food defined by the slow-cooked, aromatic traditions of Lucknow is only half the story. This is a guest-facing role for someone personable, organised, and calm, who enjoys looking after people and being part of a busy front-of-house team.
Role ReviewThe Receptionist is the first impression of the restaurant, making guests feel welcome, comfortable, and well looked after. It’s about warmth, organisation, and communication by helping the service run smoothly from the very first welcome.
In Your First 12 Months, You’ll…- Welcome guests warmly and professionally as they arrive at the restaurant
- Manage reservations and walk-ins in line with floor plans and service flow
- Communicate clearly with the floor team regarding table status and guest needs
- Manage waitlists and guest expectations during busy services
- Handle guest enquiries, phone calls, and messages politely and efficiently
- Update reservation notes, guest preferences, and special requests accurately
- Support the Reception Manager and FOH team during peak services
- Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming reception area always
- Uphold brand standards and hospitality values from the moment guests arrive
- Support the overall guest journey with a calm, friendly, and professional approach
- Previous experience as a receptionist or Host is essential, including the use of Sevenrooms, Open Table etc
- Friendly personality with strong communication skills
- Good organisation and attention to detail
- Calm and confident manner, even during busy periods
- Willingness to learn and take direction
- Genuine passion for hospitality and guest experience
- Competitive hourly rate including service charge (DOE)
