We’re looking for a passionate Viennoiserie Baker to join Ottolenghi’s Central Production Unit and play an important role in creating our signature range of viennoiserie. This is a hands‑on position where you’ll prepare doughs from scratch, shape and bake pastries, and ensure every product meets our renowned standards for quality and consistency.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and shape doughs for our full viennoiserie range.
  • Operate bakery equipment, including mixers, ovens, and laminators.
  • Follow Ottolenghi’s recipes with precision to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Monitor baking times and temperatures for perfect results.
  • Maintain the highest standards of taste, texture, and appearance in every product.
  • Assist with inventory management and ensure ingredients are properly labelled and stored.
  • Keep your workstation and equipment clean and organised.
  • Support and collaborate with the wider bakery team to ensure smooth operations.
  • Help train and support new staff as needed.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in baking or a related field (professional experience preferred but not essential).
  • Basic knowledge of baking techniques and ingredients.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately.
  • Organised, reliable, and able to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
  • A good team player with effective communication skills.
  • Physically able to stand for long periods and work in a hot, busy bakery.

Working Hours

Full‑time role with a 3‑month probation period. Five shifts per week within a 7‑day operating schedule. Flexibility required, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
