We’re looking for an ambitious and commercially minded Events, Sales & Marketing Manager to join our team at Ottolenghi Edinburgh. As our Events, Sales & Marketing Manager, you’ll be the face of Ottolenghi Edinburgh in the local community, driving private dining, events and catering opportunities while helping establish our restaurant as a destination in the city’s thriving food scene.

What you’ll be doing

  • Drive Events & Private Dining
    • Own and grow our private dining and exclusive hire business
    • Manage enquiries from first contact through to confirmation, creating meaningful relationships with prospective clients
    • Convert leads into bookings and identify new opportunities through networking and partnerships
    • Build awareness of Ottolenghi Edinburgh as a destination for celebrations, corporate events and special occasions
  • Grow Our Catering Business
    • Manage and develop the catering sales pipeline
    • Build relationships with local businesses, offices, venues and event organisers across Edinburgh
    • Identify and secure corporate accounts, tenders and strategic partnerships
    • Develop opportunities that align with the Ottolenghi brand and values
  • Deliver Exceptional Events
    • Take ownership of events from enquiry to delivery
    • Collaborate closely with kitchen and restaurant teams to execute flawless experiences
    • Coordinate menus, suppliers, styling and logistics
    • Be the main point of contact for clients throughout the planning process
  • Champion Our Local Presence
    • Manage our presence across platforms including Google Business Profile, Tripadvisor, Deliveroo and Slerp
    • Work alongside our central Marketing and PR teams to deliver locally relevant events and collaborations
    • Help make Ottolenghi feel truly at home in Edinburgh through partnerships and community engagement
  • Lead Local Content & Social Media
    • Oversee and plan engaging social media content
    • Brief and manage freelance photographers and videographers
    • Ensure all communications reflect the Ottolenghi brand while giving Edinburgh its own distinctive personality
  • Support Commercial Operations & Guest Experience
    • Maintain contracts, invoices, event documentation and reporting
    • Monitor events, catering and sales performance, identifying opportunities for growth
    • Support reservations during busy periods and maximise opportunities to enhance the guest experience
    • Act as a warm, knowledgeable and commercially minded ambassador for the Ottolenghi brand

About You

You’ll bring:

  • At least 3 years’ experience in hospitality, with a strong background in events, private dining, sales or business development
  • Genuine knowledge of Edinburgh’s food, hospitality and events scene
  • Experience using platforms such as Google Business Profile, Tripadvisor, Deliveroo, Slerp and Meta
  • A full UK driving licence

  • Commercially minded, with experience managing sales pipelines and driving revenue growth
  • Highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities with ease
  • Hands-on and collaborative, happy to roll up your sleeves and support the wider team
