Otto James Consulting is supporting a Manchester based International brand in the recruitment of a Group Financial Accountant to focus on UK and Mainland Europe consolidated accounts. My client is a market‑leader, with great reputation for customer service, that is investing heavily in growth, multi-site optimisation and market acquisition.
The role is a ‘high-profile’ position reporting to the Group Finance Director, interacting directly with the Board. It provides the successful candidate with a wide-ranging position designed to give breadth and latitude not the norm in a standard Financial Accounting position.
Duties:
- Monthly - Preparation of month‑end workings including consolidation reporting
- Financial Reporting - Preparation of annual and half‑year accounts
- Preparation of group statutory accounts
- Preparation of finance Board and Audit committee papers
- M&A support - investment reporting and due diligence
- Evaluate new operational and commercial initiatives
- Provide analysis around capital expenditure investment decisions
- Monitor financial performance in new business areas
- Improve financial processes and controls
This is a challenging role that would best suit a talented qualified accountant with the ability to communicate at a high level, build relationships, develop processes, and understand the necessity of Finance in an internal stake‑holding facing position.
