Otto James Consulting has been asked to support one of the S&P 500 leading organisations in their search for a Regional Finance Business Partner. This role will cover the European region of my client's branches and will report into UK head offices in Cheshire.

The role of Regional Finance Business Partner has been created following a board level reengagement of finance and their focus on adding value across each of their regional outlets. The emphasis on commercially viable profit enhancing information has been earmarked as an area which will ensure the organisation hits its 2026 & 2027 growth strategy.

The Regional Finance Business Partner will join a commercially driven and growing team. In this key role, you will build and develop the relationship between the Divisional Finance Team and the operational Business Unit, supporting the Business Unit board in making the best decisions financially which achieve the best commercial and operational results.

You will be coaching and developing a dedicated Commercial team. By teaching skills, sharing knowledge and best practice, and leading by example, you will improve the efficiency of the team's workload and drive forward their performance.

Providing expert financial and strategic support will be key to the role. You will also lead the property portfolio agenda on behalf of the Business Unit by appraising and reviewing all investments and working within an agreed delegation of financial authority. This role will firstly establish and then deliver against a property portfolio plan that will likely consist of new openings, acquisitions and existing branch enhancements.

Acting as a Commercial Manager, you will ensure the Division is receiving accurate and timely financial analysis by using analytical tools and techniques and managing the reporting framework. You will provide valuable understanding into the trends and drivers of business performance against multiple KPI's in order to provide actionable insight and drive improvements to procedures across the team. Reports will include:

  • Competitor analysis
  • Market trends
  • Forecasting
  • Market analysis
  • Bids & Tenders
  • Budgeting

As an expert in your field, you will comfortably deliver core finance processes to the division to underpin all forecasting, budgeting and planning activity. Your newly created processes will drive best practice and ensure that targets are met, and variances understood by all involved.

This is a challenging role that would best suit a talented qualified accountant who will communicate at a high level, build relationships, develop processes, and understand the necessity of Finance in an internal stake-holding facing position.

My client is happy to see applicants from all arenas, as they have seen the benefits and challenges that each industry provides on the journey to developing a commercial finance team.

Salary & Benefits: As Commercial Finance Business Partner, the salary banding has been set at £50,500 to £55,000 plus car. 25 days paid holiday plus bank holidays, Pension (up to 9% matched), Personal and company performance bonus, Training & development budget, 5 Day annual release for Charity in the Community, Monthly wellness budget.

This is an attractive role; however, the travel may be something that you are less keen on. If you are interested in this role, we would be keen to speak to you in greater detail and furnish you with the full job spec. Alternatively, if this is a role that you are not interested in but know someone in your network that could be interested, we would appreciate it if you could pass on my contact details.
