Hello from Otterly We offer dynamic pricing services to independent hotels across the UK.
We started in June 2026 and have grown from an idea to £50k+ ARR bootstrapping all the way. We work with around 30 hotels, from small B&Bs to 60+ room hotels. Our own pricing engine forecasts demand for every single night and suggests a price each morning. Then a human checks it before it goes live. Customers get a service, not just software.
Right now it's just me. You'd be employee #1 on the core team, working directly with me.
What you'll actually do
About half your week is the core business:
- Run the daily pricing updates for our customers
- Onboard new hotels onto our system
The rest is strategy and growth:
- Make our pricing engine smarter
- Help decide what we build and sell next
- Build our internal tools and website
- Marketing and sales: outreach campaigns, replies to curious hoteliers, and in time, running demos yourself
- Find our next hundred customers
You'd be great if you
- Have a quantitative degree (e.g. Maths, Physics, Economics, Engineering) from a top university (think Oxford, Cambridge, LSE, UCL, Imperial, Warwick, Durham, St Andrews etc.) or an exceptional record from elsewhere and something commercial you've already run
- Have 0-2 years of experience
- Could walk into a top consulting firm, but you'd rather build something from the ground up
- Love numbers but can also write clearly and kindly. You'll talk to hotel owners every week
- Are happy without a graduate programme. There's not going to be much structure
- Bonus points: any pricing, revenue or commercial analysis, or a soft spot for hotels and travel
