We are recruiting for an Experienced Catering Assistant to join our friendly kitchen team at Otter Garden Centre in Plymouth. The position will require you to work alongside our team of friendly chefs in the day-to-day running of the kitchen. We are looking for a hard-working individual that is passionate about good food and working as part of a team. Experience in a busy kitchen is essential.
Hours of work: 3 days a week including 1 weekend day, 8 hour shift on Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays. Typical Rota 08:00-16:30. Total hours 24.
Duties will include:
- Working with the head chef to produce food from our menus.
- Keeping a high standard of cleanliness.
- Good stock control and waste management.
- Follow our food hygiene processes.
- Working with the kitchen team producing Sandwiches, Baguettes, Paninis & Jacket Potatoes.
The ideal candidate will:
- A minimum of 12 months kitchen experience.
- Work well in a team.
- Understanding of COSHH & HACCP.
- Knowledge of kitchen health & safety.
