We are recruiting a UK Sales/ Field Sales Executive to join a growing specialist capital equipment manufacturer. This role is ideal for a confident, motivated sales professional who takes initiative, enjoys building relationships, and has a drive to learn and develop independently while selling high-value technical equipment.

Location: Mainly field-based, with occasional visits to the Nottingham office (a couple of times per month)

Territory: Visiting client sites across the UK

Responsibilities:

  • Drive growth by proactively identifying and developing new sales opportunities for specialist equipment.
  • Respond to client enquiries, provide expert advice, and prepare accurate quotations in collaboration with the office team.
  • Research potential markets and projects to expand the company's reach across the UK.
  • Work alongside the UK Sales Manager to ensure a professional, responsive approach to all customer interactions.
  • Take initiative to ask questions, seek guidance, and self‑learn to continuously improve knowledge and performance.
  • Manage territory independently while demonstrating confidence and ownership.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience managing a large sales territory with travel across the UK.
  • Background in capital equipment sales, ideally in technical or high-value machinery environments.
  • Track record of consultative, project-based selling, including on-site measuring and surveys.
  • Experience delivering technical presentations to users, consultants, and specifiers.
  • Self‑motivated with the confidence to take ownership of opportunities, ask questions, and seek solutions independently.
  • Knowledge of sectors such as NHS, funeral services, mortuaries, crematoriums, cemeteries, laboratories, and universities is advantageous.
  • Experience with equipment such as refrigeration, sterilising/washing equipment, fume cupboards, ventilation systems, biological safety cabinets, stretchers, trolleys, autopsy/dissecting equipment, or body storage solutions is a plus.
  • A proactive approach and a genuine drive to succeed.
