Otoe-Missouria Group (OMG) is a tribally owned business dedicated to delivering high-quality solutions across a range of industries. Our Construction Division supports federal, commercial, and tribal clients with expert program management, construction oversight, and field operations support. OMG Federal is seeking a highly organized and motivated Database Business Analyst to join our team in support of a NAVSEA Naval Shipyard Support Office (NSSO) client. This position is contingent upon award.

Position Summary

The Database Business Analyst requires strong knowledge of database systems, business process analysis, and data management while analyzing and documenting database requirements for ship maintenance systems, supporting metrics development and data analytics for NAVSEA decision-making, and translating business process requirements into database solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and optimize database configuration and access
  • Design, manage and maintain the company database of medium to high complexity
  • Perform database recovery and back-up
  • Resolve database performance and capacity issues
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into database design specifications and data requirements
  • Support the development, enhancement, and maintenance of corporate metrics, dashboards, and data visualizations for ship maintenance and analytics
  • Create data analytic reports for CNO availabilities including Project Management Metrics, Execution Summit Metrics, Corporate Board Metrics, and Productivity Metrics
  • Analyze Cost Performance, Capacity Mismatch, Work Stoppage, and Schedule Performance for all CNO Availabilities
  • Support data integration across multiple shipyard IT systems
  • Develop new metrics or enhance existing metrics to drive desired behaviors and outcomes including test metrics, planning metrics, end game metrics, material metrics, quality metrics, safety metrics
  • Perform data collection, analysis, and cost-benefit assessments
  • Support development of custom queries and database solutions
  • Ensure data integrity, quality, and security across supported systems
  • Participate in Technical User Groups (TUGs) and Metric Community of Practice (MCoP) meetings
  • Support ISD team with database requirements and documentation

Minimum Qualifications

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Systems or in a closely related field
  • Four (4) – seven (7) years of experience in database administration, business analysis, or data management
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting tools

Highly Desired Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in related field
  • Ten (10) years of experience in database analysis or business intelligence
  • Four (4) years of experience with SQL and database query development
  • Experience supporting DoD or Navy programs
  • Familiarity with Naval Shipyard IT systems
  • Experience with business objects (BO) reporting tools

Must have an Active Secret Security Clearance. Must be a US Citizen.
