We are seeking a Quantity Surveyor with construction experience for a full-time, hybrid role based in Reading with some flexibility for remote work. The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for cost planning and cost control of construction projects, preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and managing project budgets. Additional tasks will include cost reporting, estimating, and liaising with all stakeholders to ensure project goals are met within budget and timeline. You will work closely with the project team to maintain financial oversight and provide support throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Cost Control and Cost Management techniques
  • Experience in preparing detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs)
  • Strong skills in Cost Planning and Cost Reporting
  • Ability to collaborate with project teams to ensure effective budget management
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and regulations
  • Proficiency in relevant industry software
  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Membership in a recognized professional body (e.g., RICS) is a plus
  • Experience working on refurbishment, extension, or structural projects is desirable
