As a Design Manager you will report to the Design Office Manager within the New Equipment department.
You will handle the design of volume and major projects effectively by preparing accurate drawings and models.
You will lead the design process from a tender stage until the commission on site liaising with the operations team and coordinating with factories for any design related challenges.
On a typical day you will: Produce drawings and models of a high quality which meet Otis & Client expectations.
Support the Operations and Sales Teams on Design related topics.
Take ownership/responsibility for relevant assigned projects.
Attend Design meetings with Sales team and/or Project Managers through the various stages of the project.
Attend site surveys as and when requested.
Attend weekly/monthly Drawing Office meetings.
Support the site delivery team on technical matters and installation procedures.
Be responsible for understanding Design requirements of Tenders.
What You Will Need to be Successful : Have an Bachelor degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
Significant experience in 2D drawings and 3D models production with Auto CAD and Revit.
A fair understanding of BIM and its standards.
Prior experience in construction industry and handling mechanical/electrical schematic drawings.
Experience within the elevator and escalator industry is desirable.
