This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate Event Marketing Manager to join a small but established team on a marketing leading portfolio of consumer events. The role is hybrid based in London, with one work from home day and four at the company’s office in Angel.
Responsibilities include:
- Setting the marketing strategy for The National Wedding Show, in conjunction with the Group Show Director.
- Planning, implementing, and evaluating the visitor marketing campaigns, including digital advertising with partners, social media, design, PR, and media partnerships to drive visitor numbers.
- Monitoring and managing the full marketing budgets for The National Wedding Show, ensuring costs are kept within that budget and actively negotiating rates where possible.
- Overseeing and monitoring ticket revenue targets and ensuring visitor numbers are coming in on target, through all channels.
- Reporting ticket volumes and revenue weekly and proactively suggesting ideas to improve campaign performance.
- Planning the trade marketing strategy in conjunction with the Group Show Director and Sales Manager.
- Updating and refreshing the show creative on Canva and supporting with the creation of marketing collateral.
- Writing and proofing copy for a range of marketing platforms & materials including websites, social media, emails and brochures.
- Working closely with a freelance Digital Manager to build and manage paid media campaigns, including regular campaign reviews and input to campaign optimisation.
- Managing online listings, to ensure they are kept up to date and that the shows are being featured wherever relevant.
- Tracking campaign performance and analysing data regularly, with particular focus on creating a thorough post-campaign analysis after each show.
- Managing relationships with third parties i.e. ticket providers, venue marketing etc.
- Management of event website, leading on website development projects and proactively suggesting improvements to UX and SEO.
- Actively involved in suggesting and sourcing exciting visitor content, with sole responsibility for speaker acquisition for the WEDTalk Theatre.
- Management of marketing automation programme, with particular focus on creating engaging email automations.
- Line management of Marketing Executive.
- Any other duties as required.
The Ideal Candidate:
- 3+ years event marketing experience (please only apply if you have events marketing experience).
- Excellent knowledge of best practice across email, social media, paid media & websites.
- An understanding of the customer journey, acquisition process and digital marketing channels.
- Campaign tracking, reporting and analytical skills.
- Experience using Canva (preferred but not essential).
- Experience using email automation programmes.
- Experience using a website CMS.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize accordingly and work to tight deadlines.
- Commitment to standards of excellence with attention to detail.
- Excellent written English and proof-reading skills.
