Job Overview

Otis is seeking an Installation Engineer to safely install elevator units. The priority is passenger and stakeholder safety through quality installation.

Responsibilities

  • Install new elevators with quality and efficiency.
  • Work safely in accordance with Environmental Health & Safety guidelines.
  • Stay overnight as required.
  • Liaise directly with customers on site to build good working relationships.
  • Conduct inspections before and after installation to ensure high quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Qualified mechanic with knowledge of elevator equipment.
  • Ability to apply elevator engineering principles to installation.
  • Minimum 6 months experience in elevator assembly or on‑site installation.
  • Good electrical and mechanical skills.
  • Comfortable with plan reading and calculations.
  • Appetite for technical products and new technologies.
  • Appreciation for manual trades and satisfaction of seeing finished work.
  • NVQ3 level installation qualification.
  • Driver’s license.
