Overview
Service Call out Engineer - Escalators in London.
This role covers the Transport for London escalator portfolio, with a focus on passenger safety and technical reliability through maintenance of escalator units.
Responsibilities
- Carry out breakdown and repair work on escalators within the portfolio to maintain continual operation.
- Work within the London Underground network, managing the portfolio of escalators within it.
- Respond proactively and quickly to fix breakdowns, aiming to achieve first-time fix where possible.
- Liaise directly with customers on site to build a positive working relationship.
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 or higher in Escalator Engineering with significant experience in service and maintenance of escalators.
- Proven experience as an escalator engineer with in-depth knowledge of a variety of brands of equipment.
- Valid UK driving license.
- Flexibility and willingness to work overtime if required.
- Strong mechanical and electrical engineering skills.
- Commitment to safety as a priority in all work.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Comfort using electronic and digital tools.
