Otis is growing and we are recruiting a Field Manager for our New installations team. The main goal of the role is to provide day-to-day management ensuring that engineers are briefed on activities, monitoring of H&S KPI’s and ensuring progress in line with contractual programmes. This individual will also lead operational efforts and ensure superior customer satisfaction. The role will be based at Hinkley Point.
On a typical day you will:
- Ensure all aspects of field safety
- Carry out lift shaft surveys
- Conduct Pre-start surveys
- Conduct daily Health and Safety checks and audits
- Attend site meetings and briefings
- Order parts
- Arrange deliveries to site
- Liaise with subcontractors
- Arrange and monitor installation tooling
- Support project manager with labor planning
- Write and review Method Statements and Risk Assessments
- Manage and record site activities
- Maintain customer quality assurance, managing the expenditure of labor and materials
- Meet with customers to ensure obligations and expectations are achieved
- Direct the performance of field maintenance and contractual service operations
- Conduct field education training with field workforce
- Improve efficiencies, managing route schedules and callback rates
- Provide technical support, participating in sales estimation / proposals as required
- Authorize repair orders
- Lead change to better efficiency and communication
What you will need to be successful:
- Work experience within a New equipment role or a Lift Engineering background
- Experience with leading a team of engineers is preferred
- Elevator industry experience is required
- Excellent communication skills and leadership skills, and the ability to work in a highly team-oriented and dynamic environment
- Strong computer and technology skills, business acumen and a passion for customer service
