Other Side Studio is seeking a mid-weight interior designer to join its growing team in Nottingham, UK. We are looking for someone with a strong hospitality background who is confident working across bar, restaurant, hotel and experiential interior projects.
You should have around three to five years' professional experience, ideally within hospitality-led interiors, and be comfortable producing high-quality technical drawings. Experience using Vectorworks is highly desirable. Due to the collaborative, studio-based nature of the role, candidates should be Nottingham-based or able to commute to Nottingham.
You will work closely with the studio directors and senior designers, supporting the delivery of projects from initial concept through to completion. The role includes contributing to concept development, space planning, detailed design, furniture and FF&E selection, and coordinating with clients, consultants, suppliers and contractors.
What you'll be doing:
- Working on hospitality and commercial interior projects from concept to completion
- Helping to create brand new concepts from initial brief through to reality, sketch layouts and space planning
- Producing detailed technical drawings and packages
- Space planning, furniture layouts and FF&E selection
- Liaising with clients, architects, contractors and suppliers
- Getting involved on site and helping bring projects to life
What we're looking for:
- Around three to five years' experience in interior design
- Hospitality experience (bars, restaurants, hotels etc.)
- Vectorworks experience (or keen to get really good at it)
- Proficiency in SketchUp is essential
- Good understanding of Adobe Suite
- Strong technical and detailing skills
- A great design eye and understanding of materials and finishes
- Proactive, collaborative and happy working as part of a small studio
- Based in Nottingham
