OTG is a UK-founded talent agency with offices in London and New York. We launched our talent division in 2021 and have been named Talent Agency of the Year at the ITV bCreator Awards. OTG represents over 100+ talents across digital, entertainment, gaming, and sport. As a talent-first agency, we ensure that our talent managers’ rosters remain small to provide best-in-class service to support our creators' careers.

As a Talent Director (Sports), you’ll be responsible for:

  • Building and developing your own roster of talent.
  • Leading the sports division and supporting the growth and evolution of the team and business.
  • Mentoring and managing a team of more junior Talent Managers.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and developing a roster of emerging and established sports talent.
  • Leading on our sporting department, including sports strategy, talent development, hiring, and team management.
  • Developing ambitious but realistic strategies for your roster of talent.
  • Bringing knowledge and expertise on sports, social media platforms, and digital content to talent strategies.
  • Negotiating and securing commercial opportunities for your talent.
  • Diversifying your talents’ career and revenue streams beyond brand partnerships.
  • Managing your talents’ public image and reputation.
  • Scouting and signing new talent from all areas of sport, media, and entertainment.
  • Mentoring and line managing team members.
  • Assessing the commercial and strategic health of talent on your roster.
  • Working with Directors on the sporting strategy for the talent management team.
  • Reporting on revenue forecasting for your own talent.
  • Supporting Directors on business processes for effective operation.
  • Keeping abreast of the latest industry developments.
  • Networking and positioning yourself as a leader in the business.
  • Being a voice in the industry on changes and developments.

About you:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience within talent management related to sport and athlete management.
  • A strong track record of managing talent, including high-profile individuals.
  • Experience in recruiting, managing, and mentoring junior team members.
  • A clear understanding of strategic talent management and negotiating complex deals.
  • Proven record of generating talent revenue across multiple streams.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of the talent and social media industry.
  • Ability to handle difficult conversations with an empathic mindset.
  • Strong relationship-building skills.
  • Commercially minded with a solid understanding of business operations.
  • High quality of work performed accurately and efficiently.
  • Organised and pragmatic with day-to-day tasks.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proactive, ambitious, and competitive.
  • Confidence in decision-making.
