Our tailored therapy assessments address physical and functional challenges while integrating home activities to help clients regain confidence and independence. This is a referral based only, private community role for an Associate Occupational Therapist with previous private practice experience. The role involves supporting clients in their recovery journeys by developing and delivering customised therapy assessments and programs that focus on upper limb rehabilitation, cognitive and functional retraining, and adaptive strategies. The day-to-day tasks include conducting assessments, creating individualised treatment plans, monitoring client progress, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes. You will also provide hands-on guidance and training to help clients achieve their rehabilitation goals and improve their quality of life.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Occupational Therapy principles, practices, and assessments
- Experience in private practice or an understanding of how private practice works
- Understanding of rehabilitation techniques and a foundational knowledge of Medicine
- Excellent Communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Experience or interest in working with Pediatrics is an advantage
- Relevant professional qualifications or registration in Occupational Therapy essential
- Empathy, patience, and a client-focused approach to care
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and build positive relationships
- Commitment to continuing professional development and staying informed about best practices in the field
- Being able to travel to clients' homes to complete assessments and rehabilitation sessions
