About the Role
Oswestry School is looking for a Digital Marketing and Content Creator to enhance the school’s digital presence and brand visibility. You will work closely with the Director of Marketing & Admissions to produce high‑quality, engaging content across a range of platforms, including social media posts, short‑form videos and digital content for both print and website. The start date will be Tuesday 1 September 2026, and the role is full time (37.5 hours per week) term‑time only plus 3 additional weeks of work spread through the calendar year.
Responsibilities
- Produce creative and engaging social media posts across the school’s various channels.
- Create short‑form videos and other digital content to showcase school events, achievements and day‑to‑day stories.
- Develop and maintain content calendars, ensuring consistency with the school’s branding and messaging.
- Photograph and edit images and footage using tools such as Canva, Adobe Express, CapCut or similar.
- Collaborate with students, staff and alumni to capture and share success stories that reinforce the “Oswestry” narrative.
- Assist with the production of printed materials, website copy and other marketing collateral.
Qualifications
- Recent graduate or equivalent, with practical experience in digital content creation, especially for social media.
- Strong photography and video‑editing skills, and proficiency with Canva or similar design tools.
- Excellent writing ability and a keen eye for detail, design and storytelling.
- Proactive, collaborative attitude and strong organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects during term and holiday periods.
