The UK&I Buy-side DVR Sales team is a dynamic and results-driven group focused on driving revenue growth within S&P Global's critical Data, Valuations, and Risk Analytics businesses. We operate in a fast-paced environment, valuing proactive engagement, deep market insight, and collaborative approaches to client success across the UK&I region.
Responsibilities and Impact:
- Drive revenue acquisition for the Pricing, Valuations, and Reference Data businesses, generating new business pipelines and expanding existing client relationships across S&P Global services.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for allocated products, providing expert understanding of client needs, technical information, and product characteristics to clients and internal sales peers.
- Actively engage with key internal and external stakeholders, building relationships with peers outside the immediate team and influencing junior colleagues on operational processes.
- Take ownership of client issues, leveraging internal data and business development teams for effective resolution and maintaining a position of trust and respect with accounts.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives, applying professional know-how to improve efficiencies and enhance the organization's knowledge and skill base.
- Participate actively in sales conferences, special events, and collateral production, driving these activities for the product line to maximize sales revenue and retention.
- All employees are required to work from the office a minimum of 2 days per week.
What We’re Looking For:
Basic Required Qualifications:
- An S&P Global employee at this level would typically have 5+ years of sales experience from a data, financial software, or banking background, with specific experience in the UK or European Market.
- Proven ability to generate pipeline from cold calls, manage multiple parallel sales processes, and consistently meet internal and external deadlines.
- Demonstrated strong presentation and negotiation skills for senior-level management, capable of handling complex sales processes.
- Expertise in S&P Global Market Intelligence product knowledge for defined areas, with a referral-level understanding of other S&P Global product lines and future developments.
- We require all external candidates who reach the final stage of our interview process to attend at least one in-person interview, which is ordinarily at your nearest S&P Global office. This must be completed before we can proceed to an offer.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Fixed Income, derivatives, indices, and cash products.
- Demonstrated ability to engage with and influence peers and immediate leadership, fostering collaboration to achieve common goals.
- Proactive in seeking out new opportunities for innovation, leveraging relevant data and information to identify options in non-routine situations.
- A self-starter who is driven, personable, assertive, and resourceful, with strong organizational skills and a willingness to progress in a rapidly growing and changing environment.
