This role sits within our global Private Markets editorial team, working alongside experienced editors and reporters covering private equity and private credit across North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific. The focus is on delivering proprietary, forward-looking, and actionable intelligence to a global audience of fund managers, investors, and service providers.

Through exclusive reporting, market analysis, and industry insight, the team helps subscribers identify opportunities, understand competitive dynamics, and stay ahead of market developments. As our private markets presence in Europe continues to grow, this role offers the opportunity to build a strong profile in the region, develop deep market expertise, and contribute to some of the industry's most important conversations around fundraising, strategy, performance, and manager activity.

What's in it for you:

  • Become a leading reporter covering one of the fastest growing and most dynamic private credit regions globally.
  • Build relationships with senior executives at private credit fund managers, placement agents, advisers, and other key industry participants.
  • Develop deep expertise in fundraising, investment strategies, performance trends, and competitive dynamics across the region.
  • Join a growing regional initiative with the opportunity to help shape our coverage and identify new areas of intelligence and insight.
  • Work closely with an experienced global team of editors and reporters covering private credit across all major regions.
  • Contribute to reports, thought leadership, and industry events that enhance your profile and industry network.
  • Gain exposure to one of the industry's most comprehensive private markets intelligence platforms.

Responsibilities and impact:

  • Proprietary Reporting and Content Development:
    • Deliver a consistent pipeline of exclusive, off-diary reporting on private credit fund managers across Europe.
    • Produce proprietary, forward-looking, and actionable intelligence that provides meaningful value to subscribers.
    • Identify emerging trends, market developments, and competitive dynamics that merit deeper analysis and coverage.
    • Pitch and write insightful trend stories and longer-form analysis that help explain developments shaping the industry.
    • Consistently meet and exceed editorial performance objectives relating to quality, exclusivity, quantity, and subscriber value.
  • Relationship Development and Market Expertise:
    • Build and maintain a strong network of sources across the private credit ecosystem, including fund managers, advisers, placement agents, and other market participants.
    • Develop deep expertise across European private credit, including fundraising activity, investment strategies, performance trends, and organizational developments.
    • Become a trusted source of market intelligence for colleagues across the global editorial team.
    • Monitor industry developments, competitor activity, and subscriber interests to identify opportunities for differentiated coverage.
  • Intelligence Development and Collaboration:
    • Work closely with editorial colleagues across regions to contribute to a coordinated global coverage strategy.
    • Partner with Data and Insights teams to identify gaps in market coverage and contribute market expertise that strengthens the quality and relevance of our private markets intelligence.
    • Support the development of reports, research initiatives, and other editorial intelligence efforts throughout the year.
    • Contribute ideas and market knowledge that help expand and strengthen With Intelligence's private credit coverage in Europe.
  • Industry Engagement and Representation:
    • Conduct interviews with senior industry participants and represent With Intelligence professionally in the market.
    • Attend industry conferences, networking events, and meetings to develop relationships and uncover proprietary intelligence.
    • Contribute to webinars, reports, podcasts, videos, and other thought-leadership initiatives where appropriate.
    • Help strengthen With Intelligence's reputation as a leading source of private credit intelligence across Europe.

What we are looking for:

  • Proven experience covering financial services, asset management, or private markets in reporting and/or editing roles.
  • Experience covering private credit, private equity, or alternative investments is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate exclusive stories and build a strong network of industry contacts.
  • Strong interviewing, source development, and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex market developments clearly and concisely.
  • Intellectual curiosity and a genuine interest in private markets, investment strategies, and industry trends.
