With Intelligence (part of S&P Global) is seeking a high-performing sponsorship sales professional to drive revenue growth across our expanding consultant conference and events portfolio. This role will focus heavily on selling sponsorship opportunities around investment consultant-led events, including our strategic partnership with Wilshire to deliver their flagship annual client conference, alongside a pipeline of new consultant-focused events and bespoke experiences. The successful candidate will play a central role in identifying and securing sponsorship revenue from active and relevant asset managers. This is a frontline commercial role with a strong emphasis on new business development, strategic account growth, and helping shape the commercial success of newly launched events. The ideal candidate will bring experience selling high-value sponsorships within financial services events, with a strong understanding of institutional investment markets and consultant relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive sponsorship revenue across With Intelligence's consultant conference portfolio, with a particular focus on strategic consultant partnerships and flagship client conferences.
- Lead sponsorship sales activity for the Wilshire annual client conference, securing and growing relationships with key industry sponsors.
- Identify, target, and convert new sponsor clients.
- Build and execute a proactive new business strategy focused on growing sponsorship participation across existing and newly launched events.
- Own pipeline generation through self-sourced outreach, market mapping, networking, referrals, and strategic prospecting.
- Develop tailored sponsorship propositions that align sponsor objectives with consultant and allocator audiences.
- Partner with the Commercial Director and event leadership teams to shape commercial strategy, pricing, packaging, and positioning for consultant-led events and new launches.
- Gather market intelligence and client feedback to support the development of new event concepts, sponsorship products, and partnership opportunities.
- Grow and retain selected strategic accounts, increasing long-term sponsor investment and engagement across the events portfolio.
- Maintain a strong understanding of institutional investment trends, consultant dynamics, and the competitive event landscape.
- Collaborate closely with production, marketing, delegate acquisition, and leadership teams to ensure successful event delivery and sponsor and event partner satisfaction.
Requirements
- Proven track record in sponsorship sales, ideally within financial services, institutional investment, or B2B conference/events businesses.
- Experience selling sponsorship around conferences, summits, or client events targeting institutional investors, consultants, or asset managers.
- Strong understanding of the institutional investment market, including consultant, allocator, asset manager, and service provider relationships.
- Demonstrated success in new business acquisition and pipeline generation.
- Experience working on new event launches or developing sponsorship revenue for emerging products is highly desirable.
- Confident engaging and negotiating with senior-level stakeholders across sales, marketing, and executive functions.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build commercial momentum in a fast-paced environment.
