About the Role:

The Team: At S&P Global, our Financial Risk Analytics team provides state-of-the-art products and solutions to help financial institutions measure and manage their counterparty credit risk, market risk, regulatory risk capital, and derivative valuation adjustments. Our innovative technology stack includes a fully vectorized pricing library, machine learning, and big data solutions, enabling scalability and precision. Our products are trusted by the largest tier-one banks as well as smaller niche firms globally.

The Impact: We are seeking enthusiastic and detail-oriented analysts to join our innovative Financial Risk Analytics team in London. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and support of our advanced financial risk solutions, working with some of the latest technologies in the industry. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and efficiency of risk analytics solutions, directly supporting clients in managing complex financial risks and enabling confident decision-making.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide robust support for our Risk as a Service (RaaS) and Deployed solutions, ensuring seamless daily operations and exceptional client experience.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve any issues swiftly and efficiently, maintaining the highest standards of service delivery.
  • Conduct comprehensive data analysis on the S&P Global Data estate and Financial Risk Analytics’ Risk Factor Utility.
  • Utilize analytical skills to manage data quality, ensuring accurate and reliable information for our end-to-end workflow.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot system, data or processes issues.
  • Implement proactive measures to identify and resolve potential problems before they impact our Risk as a Service and Deployed solutions.
  • Assist in the implementation, testing, and documentation of new features, ensuring they meet our rigorous standards.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and data workflows, contributing to more efficient and scalable solutions.
  • Pay close attention to detail, proactively identifying data issues or inconsistencies that may impact outputs.
  • Communicate analytical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively with global teams, contributing to shared objectives and delivering as part of a wider system.

What We’re Looking For:

Basic Required Qualifications:

  • An S&P Global employee at this level would typically have 1+ years of analytical experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience using Python, or other programming languages.
  • Highly proficient communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Able to positively engage with, and contribute to, the wider global team.
  • Willing to work occasional evenings and/or weekends to accommodate client deadlines and time-zone differences.
  • Interest in financial markets.
  • Demonstrates the ability to interpret data and apply structured problem-solving to real-world business challenges.
  • Works effectively within defined processes and systems, understanding how their work contributes to end-to-end delivery.
  • Actively seeks to improve quality and accuracy of outputs through continuous learning and curiosity.
  • Collaborates with colleagues across teams, contributing to shared goals and delivering high-quality outcomes.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exposure to financial risk concepts such as market risk, counterparty credit risk, or derivatives is advantageous.
  • Experience working with large datasets or financial data platforms.
  • Familiarity with data quality frameworks, validation techniques, or analytics tools.
  • Demonstrates curiosity for financial markets and an interest in how data and analytics drive decision-making.
