Reports to: Head of Business Operations

The Team:

The Risk & Valuations Services (RVS) Business Operations team is a strategic hub within S&P Global Market Intelligence dedicated to optimizing the efficiency and effectiveness of the RVS organization. As a central pillar of the Growth, Business Development & Operations (GBDO) group, this team acts as a critical partner to business leaders, driving sustained success through operational excellence, proactive performance management, and strategic planning.

Responsibilities and Impact:

  • Lead the development of strategic narratives and executive-ready presentations for management and divisional Operating Committee meetings as well as the board.
  • Advise senior leadership on complex business issues and recommendations around capital allocation and opportunities to facilitate accelerated growth.
  • Define success metrics, maintain performance dashboards, and track progress against strategic objectives (OKRs/KPIs), recommending course corrections and innovative approaches to less clearly defined demands.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Product, Operations, and Technology, influencing peers and senior stakeholders to ensure strategic priorities are well understood, aligned, and actionable.
  • Contribute significantly to initiatives that improve operational efficiencies and sustain long-term value creation, leveraging previous experiences and curiosity to weave in new methodologies, processes, and approaches.

What We’re Looking For:

Basic Required Qualifications:

  • An S&P Global employee at this level would typically have 2-4 years of experience in strategy, consulting, corporate development, financial planning & analysis (FP&A), or business operations, with a proven ability to structure ambiguous problems and deliver clear recommendations.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint for executive audiences.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to integrate and convey complex information to a senior audience.
  • A pragmatic decision-maker who understands trade-offs and operational realities, translating complex analysis into clear plans, owners, timelines, and measurable outcomes.
  • Exemplary adaptability, able to work effectively with incomplete or conflicting data and identify viable options in non-routine situations.

We require all external candidates who reach the final stage of our interview process to attend at least one in-person interview, which is ordinarily at your nearest S&P Global office. This must be completed before we can proceed to an offer. All employees are required to work from the office a minimum of 2 days per week.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to translate complex analysis into actionable insights.
  • Demonstrated expertise in building financial and analytical models, such as revenue forecasting and scenario analysis.
