OSTTRA is seeking a highly motivated and commercially astute Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Business Partner to join our London-based Finance department. Operating within a dynamic, Private Equity-backed environment, this role is situated on the commercial side of the organization, partnering directly with Product Owners and senior leadership. The successful candidate will provide the analytical rigor and strategic financial insights required to inform critical business decisions. This position offers a unique opportunity for an ambitious professional to contribute significantly to the evolution of the broader FP&A function into a "Best-in-Class" operation. The post holder must be equipped to handle complex analytical requests, adapt rapidly to changing business needs, and deliver high-quality outputs under stringent deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Business Partnering: Serve as the primary financial liaison for designated Product Owners, guiding commercial strategy through robust data analysis and comprehensive financial modeling.
  • Executive Stakeholder Management: Confidently articulate and present complex financial findings, trend analyses, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership, including members of the Executive and Management Committees.
  • Advanced Data Analysis & Remediation: Utilize highly advanced Microsoft Excel functionalities to navigate complex datasets, identify operational discrepancies, conduct trend analyses, and facilitate effective problem resolution.
  • Agile Financial Output: Manage and execute ad-hoc, time-sensitive analytical requests characteristic of a Private Equity-backed structure, ensuring the delivery of accurate, high-fidelity outputs that drive immediate business value.
  • Process Optimization & Innovation: Identify and implement operational efficiencies to enhance both the velocity and quality of the team’s deliverables, demonstrating a proactive interest in integrating AI and automation into existing finance workflows.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Actively engage in broader Finance initiatives, including cross-regional collaboration with the US-based management team and presenting strategic insights at departmental forums and All-Hands meetings.

Candidate Profile & Qualifications

We are seeking a highly engaged professional eager for strategic career advancement and possessing the acumen to manage high-level commercial relationships. The ideal candidate is an upwardly mobile individual equipped to handle complex stakeholder dynamics and drive actionable business results.

Experience & Educational Background

  • Professional Experience: Approximately six (6) years of demonstrable experience within a highly numerical, analytical, or financially focused role. Previous experience managing external client relationships or advising senior business stakeholders is highly advantageous.
  • Education & Certifications: While a formal accounting degree or qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is not a strict prerequisite, the candidate's professional background must clearly evidence exceptional quantitative agility and advanced analytical capabilities.
  • Advanced Excel Capabilities: Exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Excel, encompassing the creation, navigation, and troubleshooting of complex financial spreadsheets and formulas.
  • Data Visualization & Reporting: Strong capability in translating dense data sets into clear, compelling narratives, ensuring findings are effectively communicated both verbally and through polished financial reporting.
  • Technological Acumen: A forward-looking mindset with an active interest in technological advancements, including AI and process automation, to continuously modernize the finance function.

Professional Attributes

  • Executive Presence: Possesses the professional gravitas and communication skills necessary to engage effectively and build consensus with C-suite executives, senior internal stakeholders, and external partners.
  • Adaptability & Resilience: Thrives in a fluid, high-velocity environment, demonstrating the cognitive agility to pivot priorities seamlessly and execute with precision under pressure.
  • Proactive Initiative: Exhibits a high degree of self-motivation and a proactive approach to problem-solving, consistently anticipating business needs and demonstrating readiness to execute effectively from day one.
  • Continuous Development: A dedicated professional demonstrating a clear trajectory of continuous improvement, seeking a challenging environment to accelerate their strategic career progression and elevate the standards of the broader team.

Our benefits include:

  • Health & Wellness: Health care coverage designed for the mind and body.
  • Flexible Downtime: Generous time off helps keep you energized for your time on.
