TheLead Plate Heat Exchanger (PHE) Technician will be responsible foroverseeing the inspection, maintenance, cleaning, repair, and reassembly ofplate heat exchangers. This role ensures that all work is carried outefficiently, safely, and in accordance with industry standards and manufacturerspecifications. The supervisor will also lead and manage a team of techniciansonsite, ensuring high-quality service delivery, scheduling, and clientsatisfaction.
KEY ACTIVITIES & TASKS
Key activities and tasks include but not limited to:
OPERATIONS
- Supervise daily activities of PHE technicians.
- Provide training, mentorship, and performance feedback.
- Ensure compliance with company safety and quality standards.
- Technical Duties
- Oversee disassembly, inspection, cleaning, and reassembly of plate heat exchangers.
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Ensure proper gasket replacement, plate inspection, and pressure testing.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with PHEs in both workshop and onsite environments.
- Planning & Coordination
- Coordinate job schedules, manpower, tools, and materials.
- Ensure timely completion of service reports and documentation.
- Quality & Compliance
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
- Implement quality assurance procedures to ensure all work meets industry standards.
- Enforce health, safety, and environmental regulations
TRAINING & COMPETENCE
- To attend any required training in order to be deemed competent
- Complete company-set competency record
HEALTH & SAFETY
- Adhere to OSSO’s QHSE policies and procedures
- Assist with the upkeep of quality management systems
- Contribute to OSSO’s observation card system
Personal Specification
QUALIFICATIONS/ EDUCATION
- Minimum of 5–8 years of experience with plate heat exchangers, including supervisory roles.
- Full clean UK driving license.
- Strong understanding of different types of PHEs (gasketed, brazed, welded, shell & tube would be preferred).
- Proficiency with tools and machinery related to PHE servicing.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and diagrams
