We’re looking for an experienced transport professional to lead the logistics operation here at Ossett Brewery. The candidate will own transport strategy, oversee the daily execution, manage a fleet of vehicles and a team of drivers, while providing continuous improvement of the logistics function to support business growth.

The role and responsibilities:
- Own and manage all daily transport planning and delivery; developing transport and planning strategies that support business growth.
- Review all fleet capacities and driver resource, taking ownership of transport related KPI performance.
- Be responsible for a team of drivers, directly managing personnel, including training, recruitment, and managing any conduct concerns.
- Ensure full driver compliance with working time regulations, safety checks, and transport legislation.
- Vehicle management and compliance, ensuring all vehicles are road legal.
- Manage and control the transport budget, supporting future capex planning for fleet and infrastructure.
- Work closely with warehouse, production, planning and sales teams to align transport with customer demand.
- Drive continuous improvement across fleet, routing, compliance and service improvement.
About you:
- Proven experience in transport, logistics, or fleet management, ideally within FMCG, Brewery or Dray operations.
- Strong leadership and people management experience.
- Excellent understanding of transport legislation, compliance and fleet management.
- CPC Transport Manager qualification highly desirable (or willingness to obtain).
- Experience managing transport budgets and KPIs.
- Full UK driving licence required.
- HGV Category C advantageous.
Working pattern: Full time. Early starts, flexibility, and operational presence required in line with business needs.
