Place Partnership are seekingto appoint an experienced, proactive, and highly motivated Premises Manager tolead the effective day-to-day management, maintenance, and safety of the OssettAcademy and South Ossett Infants Academy sites. This is a key leadership role,responsible for ensuring that all facilities are safe, compliant, andmaintained to the highest standards, to create an exceptional learningenvironment that supports the wellbeing, achievement, and success of the academycommunities.
The Premises Manager will providestrategic and operational leadership for site operations, ensuring the safe,secure, and efficient running of the academy estates. This includes managingsite access and security systems, overseeing day-to-day facilities operations,and leading responses to urgent situations such as adverse weather conditions, buildingfailures, and emergency incidents. The ideal candidate will work collaborativelywith academy leaders, staff and external partners to proactively resolveestates and facilities issues, delivering a high-quality support service. Theywill also provide support to the Director of Estates and Estates Hub Leader, drivingcontinuous improvement across the estates and ensuring facilities consistentlymeet the needs of pupils, staff, and the wider academy community.
The postholder will furtherlead, manage and develop a team of premises staff, ensuring they areeffectively deployed, appropriately trained, and fully supported to deliver anoutstanding facilities service across the academy sites. They will also beresponsible for managing rotas, allocating work, monitoringperformance, and promoting full compliance with health and safety proceduresfor all staff.
The successful candidatewill manage the effective management of contractors across both sites, ensuringthat all works are delivered safely, on schedule and to the requiredspecification. Thisincludes overseeing procurement activities, monitoring budgets, and ensuringeffective use of resources. They will maintain consistently high standards ofcleanliness across the sites through the effective management and monitoring ofcleaning services, fostering a positive and proactive approach to maintainingthe learning environment.
