Test Engineer

Established, globally regarded Aerospace component and systems manufacturer requires an experienced Mechanical Test Engineer to join their busy team for a 6 month period.

The role entails:

1. Testing and qualifying existing/new products to ensure that they meet defined industry specifications and the approval of a demanding customer base.
2. Investigating test failures or anomalies, reporting on findings, highlighting issues along with suggesting improvements/ providing feedback to engineers and department leads.
3. Driving technical and statistical investigations on products and processes.
4. Producing samples and test fixtures for the Development Team.
5. Understanding key projects and their objectives and importance.

The position requires an appropriately qualified Mechanical Engineer with proven experience in product testing. Candidates with knowledge of the aerospace sector are of particular interest.

You will also need good communication skills, the ability to function in a team environment, and report writing experience.

Salary: circa GBP18 per hour (37.5 hour week).
