An industry-leading inspection machinery manufacturer is seeking to add a talented Field Service Engineer to their national service team. This is a fantastic opportunity to represent a renowned name in inspection equipment for the food and pharmaceutical industries, delivering high-quality solutions to customers across the UK.

About the Role: As a Field Service Engineer, you will be the go-to technical expert for installations, servicing, and repairs of advanced inline inspection equipment within the food and pharmaceutical industry. This role involves working directly with customers to ensure their systems operate at peak performance, delivering exceptional support and training when needed. The position requires an Electrical/Electronics qualification (ONC minimum), ideally with experience in a field-based role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, calibrate, and repair inspection equipment at customer sites.
  • Provide on-site training and technical support via phone or email.
  • Conduct equipment upgrades and refurbishments.
  • Address customer queries professionally and efficiently.
  • Complete all documentation accurately and promptly.
  • Follow health and safety regulations at each site.
  • Participate in an on-call standby rota and work overtime as required.

Candidate Profile:

  • Technical Skills: Strong electrical/electronics engineering knowledge. PLC programming and PC hardware experience is a bonus.
  • Qualifications: Minimum BTEC/ONC/HNC or similar in electromechanical/electrical engineering.
  • Experience: Prior field service experience is highly desirable, particularly in commissioning, servicing, or repairs within the food industry.
  • Attributes: Excellent problem-solving, organisational, and communication skills. Flexible, reliable, and customer-focused.
  • Requirements: Full UK driving license and willingness to travel with occasional overnight stays.

Location: Cambridgeshire / Northampton

Basic salary £35,000 - £38,000 OTE to £60,000 including bonus and overtime with company car or van.
