Responsibilities include receiving, storing and distributing materials and supplies (both medical and non-medical).
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION:
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 1 year of basic materials management/inventory control experience preferred with the ability to reconcile basic functions of receiving incoming deliveries.
- Must be detail oriented, possess excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
- Working knowledge of inventory and supply chain management within a medical setting highly preferred.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receives and unpacks packages. Reconciles package contents and reports discrepancies accordingly.
- Accurately receives package contents electronically utilizing Inventory Management database.
- Re-stocks central supply and detail shelves.
- Delivers medical and non-medical supplies to all departments throughout the facility.
- Monitors and scans supplies in accordance with current Inventory Management System (creating requisitions and purchase orders as deemed appropriate).
- All off-site facilities
- Ambulatory Surgery Center
- Central supply
- Clinical supply closets
- DME
- Hospital Areas – OR, Anesthesia, PACU, Pre-Op and Medical Surgical
- Imaging
- PAT and Rheumatology
- Accurately maintains inventory PAR levels in accordance with pre-established bar-coded information.
- Effectively communicates with Team Lead and Coordinator for continuity of tasks.
- Collects, prepares, sorts and delivers mail to designated areas/work stations.
- Assists with material projects as needed.
- Other duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILTIES:
This position has no direct reports.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Must be proficient in the English language, both verbally and written, in order to communicate effectively with patients, co-workers, physicians, vendors, and the general public.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds occasionally and 25 pounds frequently. Work within the range of floor to overhead, pushing, pulling and stair climbing. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Climate controlled environment with occasional periods of being outside.
