Our client — a leading manufacturer of compressed air equipment — is looking for a hardworking, hands-on Area Sales Manager to grow sales across the North West through their distributor network. A high-autonomy, field-based role with a clear remit: develop the existing distributor base, win new ones, and bring real product expertise directly to end users.

The role involves driving sales of new products and aftermarket compressed air parts across the North West. You will own the patch, manage key distributor and OEM accounts, and act as the technical and commercial lead — from first contact right through to close.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Developing and executing the sales strategy for your area.
  • Identifying new distribution and OEM opportunities and converting them.
  • Managing key and target distributor and OEM accounts.
  • Visiting end-user customers with your distributors — running compressed air surveys, data logging existing systems, and recommending improvements.
  • Preparing and presenting sales offers, data logging reports and out-briefing customers on findings.
  • Delivering technical presentations and product support across the range.
  • Hitting (and beating) your sales revenue and volume targets.
  • Keeping CRM, forecasts and reports accurate and up to date.

What we’re looking for:

  • 5+ years selling compressed air equipment, ideally through a distribution channel.
  • Comfortable with compressed air system data logging, surveys and the technical reporting that goes with them.
