About the role

We are seeking a proactive Commercial Manager to lead robust commercial delivery of engineered logistics operations and ensure the effective financial performance of designated projects. Reporting into the wider commercial and project leadership teams, you will be responsible for overseeing structured commercial processes, maintaining strong financial controls and supporting the preparation of key commercial deliverables. You will work collaboratively across the organisation to provide clear and consistent commercial guidance that enables projects to be delivered to the highest standards.

  • Develop and implement commercial strategies that maximise value, billing accuracy, and cash recovery across a portfolio of projects.
  • Take ownership of invoicing, applications for payment and cash flow, ensuring timely and accurate valuation of work delivered.
  • Identify commercial risks and opportunities, implementing mitigation plans to protect and enhance project outcomes.
  • Manage and prepare applications for payment, ensuring accurate, timely valuation of works based on completed activities, asset utilisation, and agreed commercial mechanisms.

  • Oversee contract administration across NEC and other contract frameworks, ensuring full compliance with all obligations.
  • Lead discussions on contractual matters with clients and subcontractors focusing on valuation of works, agreement of application for payment and resolution of commercial matters.
  • Work closely within project teams to drive robust reporting and visibility of operational activity, enabling early identification of scope changes and ensuring they are proactively managed commercially and contractually.

Skills & Experience
