We are seeking an experienced Wastewater Pump Engineer to support our continued growth across the Northern region.

The successful candidate will join a skilled engineering team delivering installation, maintenance, and repair services across sewage and clean water pumping equipment.

This role involves primarily field-based work across sewage pumping stations and treatment plants, as well as a variety of other water-related systems.

The position requires a practical engineer comfortable working outdoors and in varied site conditions.

  • ROLE REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Candidate should possess a strong electrical skillset and knowledge.

Future training opportunities may be available as the electrical department expands, leading to increased installation work alongside core service activities.

  • Work is primarily carried out at Sewage Pump Stations and Sewage Treatment Plants, meaning work is mainly outdoors and environments can be dirty.

Additional works range from cold water booster sets to specialist systems such as zoo pond pumps.

  • Role is remotely based with home working; however, engineers will be allocated to the York depot and will be required to attend regularly for parts collection, returns, and in-house training.

Travel to the depot will be kept to a minimum where possible.

  • Work allocation will be kept within the Northern region where possible; however, the company operates nationally and occasional travel outside the region may be required.
  • Work will involve a mixture of lone working and paired working, depending on job requirements.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • Minimum 5 years' experience working with wastewater or pumping systems.
  • Electrically qualified with strong electrical fault-finding capability.
  • Mechanical bias with practical experience in pump removal, installation, and associated mechanical works.
  • Experience working on sewage pumping stations or treatment plants is highly desirable.
  • Full UK driving licence.
