Were looking to talk with established supply chain coordinators, about an exciting new opportunity in the purchasing team for an internationally renowned leader in Fluid Hydration.
If youre experienced with a manufacturing/engineering background and are looking to progress your career in a role where youll be responsible for all aspects of stock, then you could be a great fit.
Profile
The successful candidate will be required think both analytically and strategically, to produce reports and forecasts. Equally, youll also need to be great with people, with the ability to build long lasting relationships and to successfully negotiate and agree contracts, as well as training and supervising the work of other staff members.
- Keeping a constant check on stock levels, producing reports and statistics using computer software.
- Implement a supplier audit process and monthly KPIs, to review and negotiate all utilities and services providers
- Researching: to ascertain the best products and suppliers in terms of best value, delivery schedules and quality.
- Forecasting: levels of demand for services and products, price trends and their impact on future activities.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain good relationships with new and existing suppliers, manufacturers, and relevant internal departments.
- Evaluate bids and make recommendations, based on commercial and technical factors.
- Negotiate and agree contracts, monitoring the quality of service provided.
- Ensure suppliers are aware of business objectives.
- Working alongside the companys purchasing assistant, supporting and assisting them with MRP stock ordering.
- Attend production & engineering meetings, as well as supplier and trade conferences.
- Train and supervise the work of other members of staff.
Required Skills & Experience
- A minimum of 3 years experience, working in a similar role
- Experience required from a manufacturing/engineering background
- Experienced in using an MRP/ERP system (We use Microsoft Dynamics AX)
- Fully familiar with 5S and lean manufacturing techniques
Desirable skills (not essential)
- Italian speaking would be advantageous
