Osprey Engineering Solutions is a specialist recruitment consultancy embedded in the UK engineering sector. For close to a decade we’ve partnered with manufacturers, distributors and OEMs across fluid power, flow control, pneumatics, hydraulics, controlled bolting, automation, motion control, power transmission, robotics, compressors and filtration — placing the people who keep British industry moving.
We’re now looking for an experienced Recruitment Account Manager to take ownership of a portfolio of established key accounts and run them as your own. This is a hybrid role — part consultant, part account holder — built for someone who is as commercially sharp on client development as they are on quality of delivery.
What you’ll be doing:
- Owning a portfolio of warm, established key accounts — you’re their first call, their trusted adviser and their escalation point.
- Running a 360 desk across the account base — taking briefs, sourcing talent and managing candidates all the way to offer and aftercare.
- Growing account spend through deeper relationships, cross-selling into sister sites, and identifying roles before they’re advertised.
- Building structured account plans, SLAs and reporting that give clients genuine confidence in our service.
- Working alongside our specialist consultants to deliver at pace and to a high standard.
- Representing Osprey at client sites, industry events and trade shows.
What we’re looking for:
- A proven recruiter or account manager — ideally from engineering, technical, industrial or manufacturing recruitment, though strong account managers from adjacent specialist sectors will be considered.
- A track record of growing existing accounts year on year, with the billings to back it up.
- Confident, consultative communicator — equally comfortable with a shop-floor engineer and a managing director.
- Commercially sharp — you understand margins, retention and lifetime value, not just headline fees.
- Organised and accountable — you keep your CRM tidy, your forecasts honest and your clients informed.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites across the UK.
- Based within commutable distance of Oldbury / the West Midlands.
What we offer:
- Highly competitive basic salary, benchmarked against your experience and account portfolio.
- Uncapped commission scheme that rewards account growth, not just one-off placements.
- A warm, mature portfolio of engineering clients — no cold starts.
- Autonomy, trust and no micromanagement — we hire adults and treat them that way.
- Clear path to senior and leadership roles for the right person.
- Midlands office, tight-knit team, car allowance incentive, and regular travel incentives.
