Were looking for an operations professional with experience in supplier expediting, to join an independent valve specialist that partners with the industry’s leading manufacturers.

As an Operations Expeditor, you\’ll take responsibility for all operations purchase orders (excluding PSV), ensuring that all purchase orders are up to date and easily interpreted by the Operations Focal Point and Contract Engineers. Your key duties are: Placement of Supplier Purchase Orders | Expediting of Purchase Orders | Supplier Management

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Placement of Supplier Purchase Orders
    Review handovers from Sales to Operations
    Raise and verify all supplier purchase orders, except for PSV work orders, prior to sending
    Update purchase order status to clearly define their current stage
    Participate in the technical review of predetermined work orders to understand expediting requirements
    Obtain internal supplier approvals for new suppliers
    Obtain prices for consumables and paint supplies, then place orders via internal work orders
  • Expediting of Purchase Orders
    Obtain supplier acknowledgements in a timely manner
    Regularly expedite all purchase orders except PSV work orders
    Carry out external escalation within the supplier company to resolve delays
    Communicate delays that impact client order acknowledgements
    Record all communication regarding specific purchase orders in the company CMS notes
    Ensure Due Dates are correct on purchase orders at all times
    Capture supplier performance data to assist in reviews
    Organise transport to and from suppliers
  • Supplier Management
    Compile information and issue reports to the Operations Focal Point monthly
    Participate actively in supplier review meetings to increase confidence and reliability
    Raise issues with supplier goods and advise when they should be put on hold or released for payment
