We are currently working with a leading supplier of industrial pump solutions, serving clients across a wide range of sectors including construction, utilities, water management, manufacturing, and civil engineering. As they are continuing to grow our presence across the North West, they are looking for a driven and technically minded Sales Engineer to join the team.
The Role
This is an exciting hybrid role combining office-based work with regular client visits across the North West region. As Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for growing customer base, managing key accounts, and providing technical sales support to both new and existing clients. You will act as the face of the business on the road, building strong relationships with decision-makers in construction, civils, utilities, and related industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular client visits, site surveys, and product demonstrations across the region
- Provide technical advice and product recommendations to customers based on their specific project or operational requirements
- Prepare and deliver tailored quotations, proposals, and tender responses
- Maintain accurate records of sales activity, pipeline, and client interactions using the company CRM system
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities
- Collaborate with technical and engineering teams to resolve customer queries and support product selection
- Meet and exceed agreed sales targets and KPIs
Essential:
- Proven experience in a technical sales or sales engineering role, ideally within pumps, fluid handling, or related capital equipment / or a pump engineer looking to take the next step in their career and come off the tools.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills at all levels
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Full UK driving licence
- Self-motivated with strong time management and organisational skills
- Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office
