BIBUS (UK) Ltd is looking for a commercially driven, entrepreneurial leader to take the reins as Managing Director and shape the next chapter of growth for the business. This is a rare chance to lead a diversified technology trading and systems solutions organisation, with the full backing of an international group and genuine scope to build, invest, and win.
You will set the strategic direction, own the P&L, and lead a lean, high-performing organisation across two UK sites while acting as the market-facing face of the business. The mandate is clear: deliver sustained double-digit growth by expanding Mechatronics and Systems Solutions, defending our leading position in Environmental Technology, sharpening the Pneumatics portfolio, and unlocking new revenue through Engineering Services, MRO and adjacent markets like Hydraulics.
What You'll Own
- Strategy and growth — market expansion, portfolio development, and new revenue streams across a diversified industrial business
- Sales leadership — building and inspiring a high-performing commercial organisation, staying hands-on with key accounts
- People and organisation — direct leadership of Branch Managers, sales teams and functional leaders across Wooburn Green and Durham
- Financial performance — full P&L responsibility, budgeting, forecasting, and operational excellence across supply chain, service and delivery
- Group alignment — translating international strategy into local results, and representing BIBUS UK in the market
What We're Looking For
- Proven senior leadership experience — Managing Director, General Manager, Business Unit Leader or Head of Sales — with a track record of driving growth in industrial, technical or engineering businesses
- A strongly commercial, sales-led mindset, with real experience building and scaling customer relationships and revenue
- Background in Mechatronics, Automation, Motion Control, Environmental Technology or related industrial sectors is highly desirable
- Full P&L ownership experience and strong financial and strategic acumen
- Experience leading lean, multi-site teams within an international or matrix organisation
- An entrepreneurial, hands-on leader who combines strategic vision with the drive to execute
Why This Role
This is a role for someone who wants more than a management brief, the chance to genuinely shape a business, back a strategy, and see the results. You will have the autonomy to lead, the backing of an established international group, and a clear path to make your mark.
