A leading mechanical engineering organization is seeking an experienced HVAC & Chiller Service Engineer to join their growing team. The role focuses on the North of the UK, providing planned preventive maintenance and emergency fault finding and repairs on commercial HVAC, AC, & Chiller systems from premium manufacturers.

This includes Packaged Chiller equipment and ideally chilled water system knowledge. The role also involves commissioning new equipment and setting up hire systems.

Package

  • Salary £35,000 to £42,000 DOE
  • Benefits include a company profit bonus scheme, service vehicle (Transit or similar), laptop, phone, and an excellent company pension scheme.

Experience Required

The candidate should have a mixture of HVAC & Refrigeration qualifications, including but not limited to:

  • FGas and/or City & Guilds Qualifications for HVAC & Refrigeration
  • Electrical and/or Controls experience with supporting training records
  • SKILLcard supporting EH&S training or equivalent certifications
  • A good understanding of DX cooling systems, experience with split / VRF air conditioning
  • Packaged Chiller knowledge, with some experience and the ability to develop this skill
  • Extensive hands-on experience servicing HVAC and AC systems, with strong fault-finding and repair skills
  • F Gas, refrigeration, and air conditioning qualifications/certifications are mandatory; manufacturer training is advantageous
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and operation manuals
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills, both client-facing and within internal teams
  • Experience in the rental industry and HVAC applications is desirable
  • IPAF or Access equipment training is beneficial

The Client

A long-established company known for excellent morale and career development. As one of Yorkshire\’s largest compressed air service providers, they are expanding their HVAC & Chiller division and seeking key engineers.

The goal is to ensure service engineers have extensive knowledge of servicing systems to a high standard, with advanced fault-finding skills. The role is based in Brighouse, with four satellite depots around Yorkshire and Greater Manchester.
