A well-established engineering business is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join their growing service team. Covering Hull and surrounding areas, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing compressed-air equipment and associated mechanical systems for a wide range of industrial customers. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with compressed-air experience, or a mechanically strong engineer looking to step into the industry with full training provided.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out routine servicing, maintenance and breakdown repairs on compressed-air systems, compressors, dryers, and related equipment.
  • Diagnose mechanical and basic electrical faults on customer sites.
  • Install and commission new equipment as required.
  • Provide clear, professional communication with customers, ensuring a high standard of service at all times.
  • Maintain accurate job documentation, service reports, and compliance paperwork.
  • Manage van stock, tools, and equipment to ensure readiness for site work.
  • Adhere to all company safety procedures and customer site protocols.

Requirements:

  • Background as a Service Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, or similar.
  • Strong hands-on mechanical engineering skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a field-based environment.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Good communication and customer-facing ability.

Experience with air compressors, pneumatics, or rotating machinery is desirable. Basic electrical understanding (fault-finding, testing, etc.) is also beneficial. Full training on compressed-air systems will be provided for candidates with the right mechanical skillset.
