The Opportunity
We are recruiting for an experienced Workshop Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a workshop environment within the power generation and equipment sector. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and forward-thinking organisation operating across multiple industrial sectors.
The Role
The Workshop Manager will be responsible for ensuring efficient workflow, maintaining high-quality standards, and driving operational excellence across the workshop. You will lead a team of technicians, manage scheduling and resources, ensure health & safety compliance, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Management
- Plan, organise and supervise all workshop activities to meet customer deadlines and service KPIs
- Allocate resources effectively to maximise productivity and minimise downtime
- Team Leadership
- Lead, motivate and develop workshop staff
- Ensure training and performance standards are achieved
- Conduct regular team meetings and provide constructive feedback
- Quality & Compliance
- Ensure all work meets company and customer standards
- Maintain full compliance with health & safety regulations
- Conduct risk assessments and enforce safety protocols
- Inventory & Equipment Management
- Manage stock levels of parts and consumables
- Ensure tools and machinery are properly maintained and calibrated
- Customer Service
- Liaise with customers regarding progress updates
- Resolve issues promptly and professionally
- Ensure timely delivery and high customer satisfaction
