The Opportunity

We are recruiting for an experienced Workshop Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a workshop environment within the power generation and equipment sector. The Role

The Workshop Manager will be responsible for ensuring efficient workflow, maintaining high-quality standards, and driving operational excellence across the workshop. You will lead a team of technicians, manage scheduling and resources, ensure health & safety compliance, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Management
    • Plan, organise and supervise all workshop activities to meet customer deadlines and service KPIs
    • Allocate resources effectively to maximise productivity and minimise downtime
  • Team Leadership
    • Lead, motivate and develop workshop staff
    • Ensure training and performance standards are achieved
    • Conduct regular team meetings and provide constructive feedback
  • Quality & Compliance
    • Ensure all work meets company and customer standards
    • Maintain full compliance with health & safety regulations
    • Conduct risk assessments and enforce safety protocols
  • Inventory & Equipment Management
    • Manage stock levels of parts and consumables
    • Ensure tools and machinery are properly maintained and calibrated
  • Customer Service
    • Liaise with customers regarding progress updates
    • Resolve issues promptly and professionally
    • Ensure timely delivery and high customer satisfaction
