Are you passionate about industrial electrical automation, pneumatics and associated technology delivering intelligent engineering solutions? I am looking for an experienced Area Sales Engineer to join a leading industrial automation company, where you’ll combine your technical expertise with a consultative sales approach to support customers, covering the OEM / large customer base within the East Anglia area. This role focuses on delivering high-value Electrical Automation solutions, strengthening long-term partnerships, and driving sustainable growth.
To be considered for this opportunity, the successful candidate must be a Full UK Citizen, and must have significant experience in electric automation technology.
Your Role
- Act as a trusted advisor to OEM customers and large users, helping them optimise their processes through innovative automation solutions.
- Develop and grow relationships with key industrial customers, or the OEM customer base.
- Support customers in identifying, designing, and implementing automation solutions.
- Drive sales growth and identify new opportunities.
- Deliver value-based, solution-oriented sales rather than product-only approaches.
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide technically and commercially robust solutions.
- Contribute to joint business planning and market development initiatives.
- Act as the face of the business, representing a strong, innovative automation brand.
Your Technical Expertise
- A strong foundation in industrial automation and Electrical Automation, with particular focus on PLC control technology and electrical systems.
- Servo drive technologies, stepper motor control and electrical automation.
- Handling solutions including pneumatics, electrical drive cylinders and associated drives.
