Are you passionate about industrial automation, pneumatics and associated technology, motion control, and delivering intelligent engineering solutions? I am looking for an experienced Area Sales Engineer to join a leading industrial automation company, where you'll combine your technical expertise with a consultative sales approach to support customers. This role focuses on delivering high-value automation solutions, strengthening long-term partnerships, and driving sustainable growth.
To be considered for this opportunity, the successful candidate must be a Full UK Citizen and must have significant experience in electric automation, covering:
- Servo motion control
Your Role
- Act as a trusted advisor to either OEM customers or distributors, helping them optimise their processes through innovative automation solutions.
- Develop and grow relationships with distribution partners and key industrial customers, or the OEM customer base.
- Support customers in identifying, designing, and implementing automation solutions.
- Drive sales growth and identify new opportunities.
- Deliver value-based, solution-oriented sales rather than product-only approaches.
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide technically and commercially robust solutions.
- Contribute to joint business planning and market development initiatives.
- Act as the face of the business, representing a strong, innovative automation brand.
Your Technical Expertise
- Strong foundation in industrial automation and electromechanical systems, with particular focus on:
- Electromechanical Engineering
- Motion Control
- PLC control technology and electrical systems
- Servo drive technologies and stepper motor control
- Handling solutions including pneumatics, electric cylinders, grippers and associated drives

- Experience in industrial automation, pneumatics, motion control, or mechatronic systems.
- A consultative, solution-oriented sales mindset.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence technical and commercial stakeholders.
- Ability to understand customer processes and translate them into automation solutions.
