We are working with a well-established specialist in reliability and condition monitoring services who are looking to appoint an experienced Field Service Engineer to support customers across a variety of industrial sectors. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role focused on machinery diagnostics, vibration data analysis, and delivering clear, actionable reliability recommendations.
The Role
You will be responsible for delivering condition monitoring services across client sites, supporting predictive maintenance strategies and improving asset performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct on-site condition monitoring surveys on rotating machinery
- Collect and analyse vibration data in line with ISO standards
- Diagnose mechanical faults
- Produce clear, concise technical reports with practical maintenance recommendations
- Liaise directly with customer maintenance and reliability teams
- Support long-term reliability and predictive maintenance programmes
- Ensure compliance with all health & safety procedures
- Provide technical insight to internal teams to support continuous improvement
Essential Requirements
- VA1 or VA2 Vibration Analysis certification
- Proven experience in condition monitoring / vibration analysis
- Strong understanding of rotating machinery (motors, pumps, gearboxes, fans, compressors)
- Experience within industrial environments (manufacturing, energy, utilities, etc.)
- Ability to interpret vibration data and clearly communicate findings
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to travel across the South East
Desirable
- VA3 certification
- Experience with reliability software or CMMS systems
- Knowledge of additional condition monitoring techniques (thermography, ultrasound, oil analysis)
- Background in mechanical maintenance or reliability engineering
- Previous customer-facing or consultancy-style experience
